5 Jan – With Awards Season coming by really soon, many great movies and music and artists and actors have been recognised through nominations, and arguably one of the most important Guild Awards have also unveiled their nominated films. The Producers Guild Awards are said to be important when it comes to movies because they often predict which films would be nominated for the Academy Awards, the most prestigious Awards Ceremony for films. For this year in celebrating well produced movies, the Producers Guild reveals its nominees for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, the equivalent of Oscar's Bets Picture trophy. Among the producers nominated, Malaysian banker-turned-movie-producer Riza Aziz of "The Wolf of Wall Street" is also a name that is nominated.
This year, 10 feature films are contending to the Producers Guild's top prize.
