"Spider-Man" stars coming to Singapore

The cast of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"; Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx will be in Singapore on 29 March 2014.
27 Feb - The stars of the anticipated "Spider-Man" sequel "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"; Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx, will be participating in an Earth Hour event held at Marina Bay, Singapore on Saturday, 29 March, 8.30pm.
In conjunction with Spider-Man being named as the 'Super Hero ambassador' of the global flagship event, the cast will celebrate the largest environmental grass-roots movement which will be held at The Float@ Marina Bay, to help to switch off the lights across Singapore's signature Marina Bay skyline.
Singapore is the global headquarters of the Earth Hour movement and annually at the end of March; it sees involvement for its cause from hundreds of cities around the world.

"I'm proud Spiderman is the first Super Hero ambassador for Earth Hour because he shows we can all be Super Heroes when we realize the power we all have. Earth Hour is a movement that has created massive impact around the world," says Andrew Garfield, who supports the Earth Hour Blue project called A Flame Called Hope, which aims to provide clean bio-gas energy for local communities in Nepal, thereby reducing deforestation and providing an alliterate means of livelihood for families in the area.

Emma Stone has chosen to support Earth Hour Blue "Puppy Protectors' project, which aims to train sniffer dog puppies and their handlers to track animals, find wildlife crime scenes, detect illegal trade items and chase down poachers.
Director Marc Web has choosen the 'Power Up a Ranger' project, which aims to provide better equipment for World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Rangers protecting Indonesia's endangered wildlife like the Sumatran Tiger, Rhino, Orangutan and their forest habitat.
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" tells the continuation of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) who feels like there is nothing quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price, only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" will release in cinemas on 1 May 2014.
