5 Mar - Malaysian film director and actor Syamsul Yusof, 30, has reportedly checked in at Gleneagles Hospital after catching the dangerous dengue fever, which has been circulating widely in Malaysia lately. His mother, Datin Patimah Ismail says that she brought her son to the hospital on Tuesday morning after he complained about a headache and a high fever since two days ago. "In the beginning, I thought it was just a regular fever, but after two days of the fever that got worse and worse, I took him to the hospital straightaway and the doctors suspected that he had contracted dengue," she said.
Patimah has also mentioned that her son would be wed in the hospital if he is still unwell, as his set wedding date with fiancé Puteri Sarah would take place on 8 March. "The doctors have still not yet given us an official confirmation about his fever, and he has just underwent a blood test for further testing. Syamsul wants to be wed in the hospital if he is still unwell." Syamsul Yusof and Puteri Sarah Liyana had planned their wedding on 8 March which is to take place at Masjid Sri Damansara at 10am.
