1 Apr – Rumour has it that "Neighbours" actor Zac Efron is doing drugs, but none of his friends are too keen on approaching him about it for fear that they may lose his friendship. Daily Mail Online reported that the 26-year-old actor, who has been allegedly been treated for 'cocaine addiction' twice in the past year, is reportedly cutting off ties with any friends who voice their concern about his behaviour. On the other hand, his friends have had good cause to worry, seeing that the actor was recently involved in a brawl in downtown Los Angeles last weekend, where he was struck in the face. Although no one was arrested as the police officers that broke up the fight viewed the ruckus as 'mutual combat', Efron remarked; "It was the hardest I've ever been hit in my life."
According to the actor, he and his bodyguard were sitting in their car because they had run out of fuel, and when transients attacked his bodyguard. Efron went to help him, only to be viciously struck in the face by a transient. They then reportedly went at the bodyguard with 'a spear' and stabbed him in the face, stomach and chest. The bodyguard claimed Efron 'got out of the car and swung a vodka bottle at the transients to fend off the attack, which thwarted their attack and saved his life.' However, other sources claimed that Efron's bodyguard is a convicted drug dealer, and he lied about the injuries he received. This recent incident is similar to the previous instance when Efron injured his jaw badly after allegedly slipping in a puddle of water, but other sources claimed that he actually fell into a glass coffee table at his home after a night of partying.
