15 Apr – The full nomination list for the 16th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA 2015) is out, with romantic comedy "2 States" and "Haider", leading the pack with nine and eight nominations respectively. Meanwhile, the satirical science fiction comedy, "PK" and the comedy drama, "Queen" earned six and five nominations respectively. The Best Leading Male Role will see competition from; Shahid Kapoor ("Haider"), Aamir Khan ("PK"), Arjun Kapoor ("2 States"), Hrithik Roshan ("Bang Bang"), Randeep Hooda ("Highway") and Shah Rukh Khan ("Happy New Year"). As for the Best Leading Female Role, the actresses who would be vying for the title are; Kangana Ranaut ("Queen"), Alia Bhatt ("2 States"), Priyanka Chopra ("Mary Kom"), Deepika Padukone ("Happy New Year"), Rani Mukherji ("Mardaani") and Anushka Sharma ("PK"). After 13 long years, IIFA 2015 has return to Malaysia and is set to take place at the Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 5 to 7June 2015. More than 100 renowned Bollywood actresses and actors will attend this year grand awards ceremony including Anil Kapoor and Bipasha Basu who were in town recently for the launch event to announce the grand awards night. In a statement quoted by DNA, Director of organisers Wizcraft International Entertainment Andre Timmins said;
"It is amazing how Indian cinema is growing strength by strength every year. It has been a spectacular year for Indian Cinema across genres of films and a multitude of talent on and off screen. Some of the biggest films are contending for awards this year and the nominations reflect the talent and achievements of our Indian Film Industry."
