Affleck and Damon to produce FIFA scandal film

Ben Affleck (Left) and Matt Damon to produce a film based on FIFA corruption scandal.

28 Jun – American actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will reportedly produce an upcoming film about FIFA corruption scandal based on a book by BuzzFeed reporter Ken Bensinger, titled "House of Deceit".

The story is about Chuck Blazer, a former FIFA executive committee member who provided the FBI with the information it needed to arrest FIFA officials on corruption charges.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will be helmed by Gavin O'Connor with Anthony Tambakis on board to write the script.

Warner Bros. has won the bidding war for the rights to the book which lasted over eight days of negotiations.

On 27 May 2015, around fourteen current and former high-ranking FIFA executives were arrested at FIFA's annual meeting in Zurich last month, The Guardian reports.

So far, no cast is attached to this film.
