16 Aug – "Baahubali" has recently broken the highest-grossing Indian movie record previously set by Aamir Khan-starrer, "P.K.", which held the record since last year. The epic two-part film, also known as "Baahubali: The Beginning", has received mostly positive reviews since its worldwide release on 10 July 2015. Directed by S. S. Rajamouli, the Telugu movie, which was also simultaneously shot in Tamil and dubbed in Hindi as well as Malayalam, has to date grossed INR 5 billion domestically in India, according to Forbes, surpassing the INR 4.4 billion collected by "P.K.". Though overseas the 2014 comedy still has a higher gross revenue of INR 3 billion, beating "Baahubali's" INR 0.7 billion. "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", Salman Khan's latest release, places third on the chart behind the two movies, with its domestic gross revenue of INR 4.2 billion. Overseas, it has collected INR 1.7 billion thus far.
