3 Dec – Seeing that Mandarin is not her first language, singer-turned-actress Chelsia Ng admitted that she had to study hard to improve her proficiency in the language prior to appearing in her first ever Mandarin movie, "Who's Your Daddy?".

"It wasn't that hard [learning it], as long as I had someone to correct my pronunciation," said the actress during the movie's press conference at TGV Cinemas 1 Utama recently.

Co-stars Luke Loke ("Lelio Popo") and Tedd Chan ("2359", "Paper Moon") attest that her Mandarin skills are indeed good.

"Though she needs 100 takes for every scene", Luke joked.

In the movie, Chelsia plays Orange – also known as Hei Long or Black Dragon – an intimidating character that contrasts vividly with her bubbly real-life personality. Chelsia revealed that she filmed more scenes with Luke rather than Tedd as her character is involved in a love-hate relationship with Luke's Mark Gao.

Apart from acting in the movie, Chelsia also contributes as a singer. Her song "I'm Sorry" is used as the movie's official theme song.

"I'm happy they used it," the actress professed, beaming brightly.

Helmed by Singaporean writer-director Boris Boo, the comedy movie follows a hopeless pair of uncle and nephew, Mark Gao and Xiao Hui (Tedd Chan), who decide to sell their sperm for money. When both fall for a woman named Shuna (Jeana Ho), who become pregnant after visiting the sperm bank, they are determined to find out who the father of the child is.

There is currently no release date set for Singapore, but the movie is slated for release in Malaysia on 10 December 2015.
