11 June – Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) has opened its brand new 8-screen outlet at Klang Parade Mall today. According to GSC Chief Executive Officer, Ms Koh Mei Lee, with the opening of the new cinema, Klang Valley residents now have the options to either catch their favourite movies at said outlet or at the nearby GSC Setia City Mall, Shah Alam; the two locations are only 8km apart from each other.
"Built at an investment of RM30 million, GSC Klang Parade has a total of 1,323 seating capacity and will be disabled-friendly as it is equipped with 16 wheelchair space and a lift for those who are wheelchair bound to have easy access into the halls," said Ms Koh. To celebrate the cinema's launch, moviegoers in Klang just have to present two movie ticket stubs from any cinemas located within Klang township at GSC Klang Parade in the month of June in order to get free tickets for "Poltergeist", "SPL 2" and "Terminator Genysis".
The next GSC location to open is at Aman Central, Alor Setar this coming September.
