17 Mar – The first time the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards was held in Malaysia was in 2002, now 13 years later, the IIFA is set to return to the country to hold its annual event.

Malaysia reportedly won the bid over other countries, such as Thailand and Spain, to host the star-studded event this year.

"We are going to Malaysia in the first week of June," IIFA spokesperson Andre Timmins told Indian news outlet, PTI, and added, "It is a great destination, a lot of our movies are being shot there off late so it will enhance the business locally. It is going to be fun."

Last year's IIFA was held in Tampa Bay, U.S., where Hollywood actors John Travolta and Kevin Spacey were also in attendance along with Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and more. Some of the highlights of last year's show were of the two Hollywood stars performing dance numbers to the tune of Bollywood beats.

This year, the event will be held over a period of three days. Various activities planned include meet-and-greet session with the fans, film and music workshops, fashion shows and more. There may even be local artists joining the awards show.

Started in 2000, IIFA is going into its 16th edition this year. In the meantime, while fans await what delights the upcoming show will behold, take a look at this clip from last year to see Travolta's hips in action:
