25 Jan – Marvel is interested in signing a contract with "12 Years A Slave" star Chiwetel Ejiofor, as it has offered the British actor a role in its upcoming "Doctor Strange". Marvel has already signed Benedict Cumberbatch to enter the world of the mystic arts as the titular doctor. Ejiofor might be joining the cast too in an unspecified role, which has not been confirmed by the officials yet, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Marvel is not revealing anything about its thoughts on the character until it finds one that fits Ejiofor the most. It is speculated that the actor might play the villain considering his performance in his 2005 film, "Serenity". The movie will be directed by Scott Derrickson, who previously helmed 2012's "Sinister", and the final draft of the script was penned by Jon Spaihts. Ejiofor is currently busy filming for his upcoming 2015 movies, "Z for Zachariah", "Triple Nine" and "The Martian". "Doctor Strange" is set for release in 2016, opening in the UK on 28 October and in the US on 4 November. (Photo source: wegotthiscovered.com)
