25 Mar – It was revealed that former boxing champion Mike Tyson will be joining the cast of the upcoming "Ip Man 3".

As reported on Oriental Daily News, the production studio previously sparked speculation about the possibility of Tyson's appearance after it was reported that there will be a duel involving the Wing Chun master and a boxing champion in the third instalment.

Tyson previously opened up a Weibo account and asked about the best fighter in China. Producer Raymond Wong stated that he gets the idea of pitting Tyson against the martial art actor after someone told Tyson that Donnie Yen would be the best fighter in the country.

In a statement released by the boxer recently, he said, ""Wait for me, I am coming. Thank you for introducing me to Chinese kung fu".

Additionally, action director Yuen Woo Ping has joined the team, and Bruce Lee's brother, Robert Lee, has been hired as a film consultant. Lee's involvement has also sparked rumours that the third film will involve a storyline concerning Ip Man's most famous protégé, Bruce Lee.

Meanwhile, other stars that will be joining Donnie Yen include Lynn Hung, Louis Cheung, Patrick Tam, and Karena Ng.
