27 Jul – Martial arts actor Joe Taslim is ready to be beamed into "Star Trek Beyond". The Indonesian Chinese actor has been confirmed to join the cast of the third instalment in the "Star Trek" movie series. There were no further details given regarding Taslim's role in the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter, but it was revealed that the 34-year-old will be playing a key role opposite Idris Elba's villain character. Taslim has starred in movies like "La Tahzan" and "Dead Mine" but is more widely known for his "Fast and Furious" as well as "The Raid :Redemption" stints. In the latter, he played one of the major roles, Sergeant Jaka. Taslim will once again be working with director Justin Lin, who he previously worked with in "Fast and Furious 6" where he played the baddie alongside Luke Evans.
