25 Nov – Highly anticipated Malaysian thriller, "Interchange", had its prestigious gala premiere yesterday at GSC Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The star-studded event saw to the attendance of many familiar and popular faces from the local entertainment industry, including a sea of invited guests who couldn't wait to catch the premiere of the fantasy thriller.
Some of the celebrities who were spotted at the premiere include "Pekak" star Sharifah Amani, "Isyarat Cinta" actress Liyana Jasmay, singer Dasha Logan, award-winning actress Umie Aida, President of the Malaysia Film Producers Association Yusof Haslam, "Redha" director Tunku Mona Riza and more. "Interchange" made its world premiere at the 69th Locarno International Film Festival on 5 August 2016, and recently it opened the 27th Singapore International Film Festival on 23 November 2016.
"The film has travelled to several parts of the world, but it's nothing like coming home. At the end of the day we make our own stories about people and also Malaysians. So regardless of what race you are, I do hope you'll enjoy this story," said director Dain Said in a speech before the premiere of the movie. Set to screen on Malaysian cinemas on 1 December 2016, "Interchange" stars Shaheizy Sam, Nicholas Saputra, Iedil Putra, Prisia Nasution, Nadiya Nissa, Alvin Wong and Chew Kin Wah.
