13 Oct – So far, Warner Bros. has been actively promoting Zack Snyder's "Justice League Part One", which stars the likes of Ben Affleck's Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman and Ezra Miller's The Flash.
Now that they have had their fair share of spotlight, it's time to shift focus to another DC character: Mera.
Played by Amber Heard ("3 Days to Kill"), Mera's appearance in "Justice League" also marks the character's live-action debut.
If you're wondering how Heard would look like as the Queen of Atlantis, here's the exclusive first look courtesy of IGN.
For the uninitiated, Mera is also known as the wife of Aquaman in the comics, making her first appearance in Aquaman#11 on September 1963.
A character created by Jack Miller and Nick Cardy, Mera possesses multiple superpower abilities such as aquakinesis and ability to form any object by using water density.
Let's hope Heard's portrayal of Mera will do the character justice when "Justice League Part One" arrives on 16 November 2017.
The actress will return for a much larger role in James Wan's "Aquaman", which is currently set for release in July 2018.
