Critics' Choice Awards shines light on "Spotlight"

"Spotlight" shines bright at the Critics' Choice Awards.

18 Jan – George Miller's "Mad Max: Fury Road" won nine of out the 13 awards it was nominated for but ultimately, it was Tom McCarthy's biographical drama that stole the "Spotlight" at the 2016 Critics' Choice Awards.

"Spotlight" took home the Best Picture award, as well as Best Original Screenplay and Best Acting Ensemble. The latter was accepted by Rachel McAdams on behalf of herself and co-stars Mark Ruffalo, John Slattery, Michael Keaton, Liev Schreiber and Brian d'Arcy James.

It was also a momentous win for "The Revenant" as Leonardo DiCaprio took home yet another Best Actor award.
