2 Oct – The remake of "Murder On the Orient Express" is getting quite an ensemble cast and all of them are possible suspects of murdering Johnny Depp in the movie.

Well, Depp in character, of course. The actor is in talks to portray Samuel Ratchett, a man whose murder caused a sudden investigation on the train called Orient Express, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Depp will be joined by "Star Wars" actress Daisy Ridley, who will play a working-class woman named Mary Debenham; Michelle Pfeiffer, who will play a glamorous woman called Mrs. Hubbard; and Leslie Odom Jr., who will portray Dr. Arbuthnot, the man Debenham is in love with.

Also part of the cast are Judi Dench, playing Russian royalty Princess Dragomiroff; Tom Bateman, portraying Frenchman Bouc; Michael Pena as a passenger called Marquez; Lucy Boynton as Countess Andrenyi; and Derek Jacobi as Masterman.

Director Kenneth Branagh will pull double duty as both helmer of the remake and lead actor, portraying detective Hercule Poirot, who must solve the murder case.

Branagh himself is producing the movie alongside Ridley Scott ("The Martian"), Mark Gordon ("Steve Jobs") and Simon Kinberg ("X-Men: Days of Future Past", "The Martian").

The 20th Century Fox movie will be based on Agatha Christie's novel of the same name, which was previously turned into two movie adaptations – one in 1974 and another in 2001.

There is no release date set yet for the movie but production is expected to begin in London this November.
