12 Mar – Former Bond girl and "X-Men" star Halle Berry might land a role in "Kingsman 2" playing the director of the CIA. According to Empire, Matthew Vaugh and his team are talking to the actress about a possible role, but no papers have been signed yet as she is considering roles in other films as well. Based on the comic book, "The Secret Service", the 2014 film followed a young man named Eggsy (played by Taron Egerton), who trained under a secret spy organisation to prevent global entrepreneur, Richmond Valentine's plans for world domination. "Kingsman: The Secret Service" which starred Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine, raked in USD415 million globally. Previous reports indicated that Julianne Moore might take on the role of the new villain in the franchise. Tentatively titled, "Kingsman 2" has been given a June 2017 release date.
