15 Sep – Since the release of "Suicide Squad", Margot Robbie has managed to stand out and steal the show via her performance as the sexy bat-wielding supervillain, Harley Quinn, which is why she is finally getting her very own spin-off movie. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the actress has signed an exclusive first-look producing deal with Warner Bros for the "Suicide Squad" spin-off film, which will not only have Robbie as the main lead but also as an Executive Producer. The project is also rumoured to include other female DC heroes and villains like Batgirl and Birds of Prey; a team of female superheroes that go on special missions to save the world. Robbie will produce the movie alongside her own production house, LuckyChap, and partners Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr. For now, no director is on board and no production schedule has been announced, but there have rumours about "Suicide Squad 2" being put into development alongside the Harley Quinn project.
