6 Jan – "Suit & Tie" singer, Justin Timberlake has put pen to paper to officially produce the music for DreamWorks' upcoming movie, "Trolls", apart from voicing Branch who is a hilarious hardcore survivalist whom hides his surprising true colors. The 34-year-old will serve as the executive music producer for "Trolls", managing the creative direction for the film's music including performing several tracks for the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event [and] couldn't be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks' "Trolls"," says Timberlake. "This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can't wait for everyone to experience it all." The film based on the iconic dolls is directed by Mike Mitchell and Walk Dohrn and produced by Gina Shay. All three of them were involved in "Shrek Forever After". The animated comedy also stars Anna Kendrick from "Pitch Perfect" where she will be voicing Princess Poppy who sets off on an epic adventure with Timberlake's character, Branch. Timberlake is a nine-time Grammy and four-time Emmy Award winner and has yet to release a new album since "The 20/20 Experience – part 2", which came out in September 2013. Timberlake is following the footsteps of Pharrell Williams and Will.i.am who were involved in producing the music for all the Despicable Me and Rio movies respectively. The singer has been acting too, having starred in The Coen Brothers' "Inside Llewyn Davis", "Runner Runner" with Ben Affleck, and David Fincher's "The Social Network".
