Meet Ti Lung and Jessica Hsuan of "The Kid from the Big Apple"

"The Kid from the Big Apple" will come to Malaysia this 10 March 2016.

1 Mar – Actors Ti Lung and Jessica Hester Hsuan will be in Malaysia this March to promote their new movie, "The Kid from the Big Apple".

Ti Lung, who is also known as Tommy Tam, won Best Actor for his role in the movie at the recent Golden Horse Awards.

The two actors will be accompanied by director Jess Tong and young talents Tan Qin Lin and Tan Jason on the promo tour for this much anticipated heart-warming comedy which will be released in cinemas this 10 March 2016.

The film that was entirely shot in Malaysia took home four awards in total for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Writing and Best Newcomers at the recent Macau International Movie Awards, overtaking the Donnie Yen starrer, "IP Man 3".

Distributed locally by GSC Movies, "The Kid from the Big Apple" tells the story of a born-and-bred New Yorker, Sarah, who is visiting Malaysia for the first time and witnessing her world change as she spends time with her traditionally conservative grandfather. This movie had gained international fame through their many awards and happens to be the first Malaysian movie to collaborate with international fast food franchise, McDonald's.

Apart from the gala premiere of the movie at GSC Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur, this 3 March 2016, the two actors will head up to Ipoh and Penang for meet-and-greet sessions with fans.

5th March (Sat)
2.00pm - Meet & Greet at Ipoh Parade (Area C, Ground Floor).
7.00pm - Meet & Greet at Queensbay Mall, Penang (South Zone Concourse, Ground Floor).

6th March (Sun)
3.00pm - Meet & Greet at Megamall Penang (Main Concourse).
