Syamsul Yusof's comeback as a director seems to be fruitful.

11 Mar– Looks like the latest horror film by Syamsul Yusof continues to scare audiences effectively managing to collect RM 11 million after spending two weeks at the cinemas.

According to Skop Production's Datuk Yusof Haslam, although the film directed by his son is up against tough competition from local and international movies, but it succeeded in attracting an audience as it has its own strengths.

"Typically, films that are screened through the Compulsory Screening Scheme will face the prospect of reduced cinemas screening after two weeks.

"The cinemas are entitled to do so to make way for the new films. However, it does not apply to "Munafik" as it is seen to have great potential to last longer," he tells BH Online.
