26 Apr – After two years, Stan Lee has finally found the perfect director to helm the live-action movie of his first Indian superhero character, Chakra. "I'm a fan of Bollywood films and am really excited about launching "Chakra the Invincible" as my first Bollywood superhero movie," said Stan Lee, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter. Lee first talked of making the movie back in 2014 and has been busy looking for the right auteur to work with since then. He has now set Indian movie director, Vikramaditya Motwane, whose debut film was screened at the Cannes festival in 2010, to helm the superhero movie. The character Chakra was first launched as a comic book back in 2011. In 2013, it was adapted into a TV movie, which premiered on Cartoon Network. The animated property features a young Indian boy, Raju Rai, living in Mumbai, India. His mentor develops a technological suit that weaponises all the Chakras in the body, giving the wearer superpowers. However, in the upcoming live-action movie, Raju will be depicted as an adult in his twenties. "Chakra the Invincible" has yet to be given a release date, though undoubtedly Stan Lee will find a way to make his trademark appearance in the movie as he did say, "I only hope he [Vikramaditya] remembers to include my cameo."
