11 Jan – Going home with his third Golden Globes Best Actor award is none other than "The Revenant" star, Leonardo DiCaprio.
DiCaprio has won Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama at the award show held earlier today at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
This makes it his second win in the category (the first was for 2004's "The Aviator"), while also winning Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy once back in 2014 for the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street".
Does his victory signal a long-awaited win at the Oscars? The actor has been nominated numerous times at the Academy Awards but have yet to win Best Actor there even once. Fingers crossed this year will finally be Leo's year.
After all, he is in yet another critically acclaimed award-winning movie, his chances of winning are higher than ever.
