2 Apr – Malaysian actor Tony Eusoff has been charged with possession of Class A drugs under Singapore's Drug Abuse Act. The actor was brought before a Singaporean court on 31 March, according to the nation's Berita Harian, after he was found to be in possession of a packet of drug. The packet contained no less than 4.56 grams of vegetable substance, in which traces of ganja were found after it was analysed. The actor was charged with possession of the drugs on March 12 at the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) bus arrival hall at the Tuas checkpoint.
He was believed to be in Singapore for the filming of upcoming drama, "The Hush", produced by Weiyu Films, which is expected to begin airing next month. Class A drugs are classified as the most dangerous and addictive. If convicted, Tony, real name Anthony Joseph Anak Hermas Rajiman, 38, could be jailed up to 10 years, and fined as much as SGD20,000 or both. The case is set for further hearing at the National Court in Singapore on 12 April 2016.
