"Bad Moms" sequel adds "This Is Us" star

Justin Hartley as Kevin Pearson, one of the triplets from the TV series "This Is Us".

12 Apr – Justin Hartley, star of NBC's pilot series, "This Is Us", has signed on to appear in STXfilms' "A Bad Moms Christmas".

Deadline reports that in the sequel to the surprise hit film, Hartley will play Ty Swindle (that name though...), a fit and handsome firefighter who moonlights as a performer that requires him to slide down a different kind of pole.

Hartley's character is a "sincere gentleman" who immediately clicks with Kathryn Hanh's character during a waxing appointment.

While we still don't know exactly how big a part Hartley or his character will play in the film, we can expect him to make us laugh in this comedy, which will be a whole new experience as compared to the buckets of tears he's made us shed in "This Is Us" as Kevin Pearson.

"A Bad Moms Christmas" features Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hanh reprising their roles as Amy, Kiki and Carla, respectively.

The film follows the under-appreciated and over-burdened ladies during one of the most stressful times of the year: Christmas. Adding to the pressure, the trio's mothers will be paying their daughters and grandchildren a visit this holiday season.

"A Bad Moms Christmas" is written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore-both have worked together on other films such as the first "Bad Moms" and "The Hangover".

The film is said to hit the silver screen this 3 November in North America.
