2 Aug – Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's next big action film, "Skyscraper", has added Taiwanese model Hannah Quinlivan to its cast. The 23-year-old model-turned actress and also wife of pop singer Jay Chou will be joining previously confirmed cast Neve Campbell, Pablo Schreiber, and the recently announced Chin Han. Along with the Hannah, the movie has also enlisted Chinese American actor Byron Mann, who is most known for his role as Mr Chau in "The Big Short" and Ryu in "Street Fighter". He also stars as Yao Fei in the "Arrow" television series.
For now, it is not known what roles the two will be playing, but this will be the first time that Quinlivan has acted in a Hollywood production. She is also set to star in a British-Chinese production called "S.M.A.R.T. Chase", alongside Orlando Bloom and Lynn Hung later this year. Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber of "Dodge Ball: A True Underdog Story" and "We're the Millers", "Skyscraper" is about a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Ford, played by Dwayne Johnson, who is tasked with assessing security for skyscrapers. During his assignment in China, he becomes a wanted man after the tallest and safest building in the world is suddenly ablaze, thus he must hunt down those responsible for the fire, and at the same time rescue his family who are trapped inside the building. The movie is slated for a U.S. release on 13 July 2018. (Photo source: baomoi.com)
