2 Aug – The "Hellboy" reboot has found another big name to add to its cast, coming in the form of English actor Ian McShane. McShane will be joining "Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen" as Professor Broom, the titular character's adoptive father, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 74-year-old is joining a cast led by "Stranger Things" actor David Harbour, who will be starring as his onscreen red-skinned son. The reboot will follow Hellboy as he squares off against a medieval sorceress hell-bent on destroying humankind. Neil Marshall ("The Descent", "Game of Thrones") takes over from Guillermo del Toro as the helmer of the reboot project by Millennium Pictures and Lionsgate. McShane is no stranger to Lionsgate productions as he currently stars in TV series "American Gods" – made by Starz, the media company acquired by Lionsgate last year – and he also stars in Lionsgate's "John Wick" franchise. "Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen" is scheduled to begin filming this September in the U.K. and Bulgaria.
