4 Oct – It seems that James Cameron is using his new movies to have mini reunions with his former cast. After news of the original "Terminator" team – Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Cameron – returning for the latest "Terminator" movie, the "Avatar" sequels will also host another blockbuster reunion as Kate Winslet has been confirmed to join it, according to Deadline. "Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on "Titanic", which was one of the most rewarding of my career," Cameron said. "I can't wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life." "Titanic" made box office history in 1997 when it raked in USD2.1 billion worldwide and became the top-grossing movie of all time – until "Avatar" dethroned it in 2009. No words have been shared on who Ronal is and how many of the planned 4 "Avatar" sequels Winslet will take part in. The sequels will see the return of Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, C.C.H. Pounder and Stephen Lang, alongside recently added "The Walking Dead's" Cliff Curtis and Oona Chaplin from "Game of Thrones". Production has already began on 25 September with the first instalment set to open in North America on 18 December 2020, followed by "Avatar 3" on 17 December 2021. "Avatar 4" will be released on 20 December 2024 while the last sequel will open on 19 December 2025. (Photo source: Carl Court | AFP | Getty Images)
