9 Feb – Malaysian actress Raja Ilya has revealed that she will be working in a Hollywood film from the Marvel franchise by end of this year.
Raja Ilya, or her real name, Raja Ramilah Begum Raja Mohammad, however has refused to reveal further details regarding the film.
"It has already been confirmed that I will start shooting for a Marvel film by the end of this year, but because the title is yet to be confirmed, I can't reveal much details regarding it," said the actress when met at the media preview of "Soulmate Hingga Jannah" at mmCineplex, eCurve recently.
The 31-year-old actress also revealed that she will be training for eight months in Indonesia with Indonesian martial artist and film actor, Yayan Ruhian ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "The Raid") before going into set.
Meanwhile, talking about her latest film, "Soulmate Hingga Jannah", Raja Ilya said that she did not take a long time to consider it when she was offered the role in the film.
This is because it has always been her dream to work with famous local director Datuk Professor A Razak Mohaideen, and also to star alongside Malaysian prima donna, Erra Fazira and Singaporean singer-actor, Taufik Batisah.
Produced by FiTA Studios, the film also stars Dato' Rahim Razali, Reen Rahim, Douglas Lim, Nad Zainal among others.
"Soulmate Hingga Jannah" will be shown in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei on 16 February 2017.
