6 Dec – If you can't take a photo with actor Dwayne Johnson, maybe you can settle with snapping a selfie with his star instead. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced on its official website that the actor will receive the 2,624th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next week, honouring him in the category of Motion Pictures. Producer of Walk of Fame ceremonies Ana Martinez stated, "Everyone loves Dwayne Johnson! We predict that his star will be a very popular one to visit on our famous walk. "Not only does Dwayne have a great personality and talent, but he also does a great amount of philanthropic work which is part of the criteria for earning an immortal spot on the Walk of Fame. We envision scores of photos being taken at his star by his fans." The star ceremony for the actor will take place at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of Hollywood and Highland Complex, on 13 December. Fans who can't be at the ceremony in person can still catch it live-streamed on the Walk of Fame's official website. If you miss that ceremony, you can still catch the multi-hyphenate in "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle", opening in cinemas this 21 December. His various other upcoming movies include "Rampage", "Skyscraper", "Fighting with My Family" and his and Jason Statham's "Fast and Furious" spinoff.
