16 Aug – Upcoming superhero movie "Captain Marvel", starring Brie Larson, will have Geneva Robertson-Dworet, the writer of "Tomb Raider" reboot, penning its screenplay. The writer, who has made it twice on the Black List, will take the place of the movie's original scriptwriters, Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman, according to Deadline. LeFauve is currently writing and directing Disney's animated film "Gigantic" while no word has been given for Perlman's departure. Despite having no prior credits, Robertson-Dworet is on her way for bigger things with upcoming projects such as MGM's reboot of "Tomb Raider" starring Alicia Vikander and the expansion of the "Suicide Squad" franchise, "Gotham City Sirens", in which Margot Robbie will be reprising her role as Harley Quinn. Robertson-Dworet is also attached for Robert Downey Jr.'s cinematic return as the titular detective in "Sherlock Holmes 3". "Captain Marvel" will be directed by "Mississippi Grind" helmers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, and is set for release in March 2019.
