12 Mar – After breaking box office records, "Black Panther" is set to return for a sequel as confirmed by Marvel Studios' president, Kevin Feige. "We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one," Feige said to Entertainment Weekly when asked about a "Black Panther" sequel. The "Black Panther" sequel would be among future Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) movies that are set after the fourth untitled "Avengers" movie, including the likes of a sequel to the newly rebooted "Spider-Man" movie and also "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3." with James Gunn returning to direct the latter. Besides Feige, nobody else from the "Black Panther" team has announced their return for the sequel, however, some elements of the movie like the characters of Black Panther / T'Challa, M'Baku, Okoye, and the fictional nation of Wakanda will be seen in the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" when it hits local cinemas on 26 April.
"Black Panther" made history when it recently hit the USD 1 billion box office mark, making it the highest-grossing movie of 2018 so far. The movie which stars Chadwick Boseman as the titular character is still showing in cinemas and is expected to increase in its box office numbers.
