13 Oct – Earlier this year, producer Kevin Feige said that a "Black Panther" sequel was definitely happening. Now, director Ryan Coogler has confirmed his return for the second movie. Coogler has quietly sealed a deal to write and direct "Black Panther 2", according to The Hollywood Reporter. The script will be written by Coogler sometime next year and production on the movie is targeted to begin either in 2019 or 2020. However, the plans are just tentative as Marvel and Disney so far have only announced the untitled fourth "Avengers" movie and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" for 2019, "Black Panther 2" have yet to get a confirmed date. News of the sequel officially happening first broke in March, following the global theatrical success of "Black Panther", which earned USD1.347 billion on a USD200 million budget. Chadwick Boseman is expected to reprise his role as the titular hero a.k.a. T'Challa, the king of Wakanda. Other expected returning cast includes Letitia Wright and Lupita Nyong'o who played his 16-year-old sister Shuri and his former lover Nakia, respectively. Before he starts working on "Black Panther 2", Coogler is first directing and producing "Wrong Answer" with his frequent collaborator Michael B. Jordan, who also starred in "Black Panther". Coogler is also executive producing Jordan's "Creed 2" and the LeBron James-starring "Space Jam" sequel. (Photo source: Matt Kennedy | Marvel Studios)
