17 Jul – Fans may feel like they're being iced out with the lack of information on "Frozen 2" so Disney has recently revealed something to thaw the cold. There are two new members who will be building a snowman, so to speak, with the original voice cast, Variety is reporting.V Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown are now in talks to join the sequel to the 2013 animated hit, "Frozen". No further details have been revealed as to the characters they will be voicing. Wood ("Allure", "Into the Forest") has recently been nominated for an Emmy for her role as Dolores in HBO's "Westworld" while Brown ("Black Panther", "Hotel Artemis"), who stars as Randall Pearson in NBC's "This Is Us", also received an Emmy nomination for his role.
Other cast members who are already on board for the project are Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, and Josh Gad as Olaf. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are returning to direct, with the former also writing the script, while Peter Del Vecho is producing. Words of "Frozen" getting a sequel started circling online at the end of 2014 and were finally confirmed by Walt Disney's CEO Bob Iger in March 2015. However, updates on the sequel development have been scarce since. "Frozen 2" is currently set to be released in cinemas in November 2019.
