28 Feb – Chinese filmmaker Feng Xiaogang is set to direct the sequel to his award-winning 2005 movie, "Cell Phone". As reported on Tencent, the director reportedly will team up with the original scriptwriter and novelist, Liu Zhenyun, to helm the upcoming movie which may be produced by Huayi Brothers. Aside from "Cell Phone", Liu previously worked with Feng in movies such as "I am Not Madame Bovary" and "World Without Thieves". The original movie starred Ge You as a television host whose extra-marital affair was uncovered by his wife through traces left on his cell phone. It also co-stars Zhang Guoli, Xu Fan, Lu Zhang, and Fan Bingbing; and earned the latter her first Best Actress award at the 2004 Hundred Flowers Awards. (Photo Source: TIFF)
