27 Nov – "The Boy 2" just added more members to its cast, namely actors Ralph Ineson ("The Witch", "Ready Player One") and Owain Yeoman ('American Sniper"). The two actors join Katie Holmes ("Ocean's 8", "Logan Lucky"), who was announced last month as the lead of the horror sequel, and child actor Christopher Convery ("The Girl in the Spider's Web"), according to Deadline. Ineson is set to play a character called Joseph while Yeoman will be playing Sean, the husband of Holmes' character Liza. Convery, whose involvement was announced last week, will play the married couple's son Jude.
The sequel follows the couple and their son as they move into Heelshire Mansion without knowing anything about the house's dark past. Jude then befriends a life-like doll called Brahms. Given the twist ending of "The Boy", the 2016 horror movie this sequel is a follow up to, it remains to be seen how Brahms' haunting of the poor family will take place in "The Boy 2". William Brent Bell will be back to helm, not a surprise since under his direction "The Boy" managed to make USD68 million worldwide on a USD10 million budget. Just like its predecessor, "The Boy 2" will be shot in Victoria, British Columbia. The filming for the sequel will begin on 14 January 2018.
