Louis Koo wins HKFA's Best Actor

Louis Koo poses with his Best Actor award.

16 Apr – To no one's surprise, Louis Koo was named Best Actor at the recently held 37th Hong Kong Film Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who won the award for his role in the movie, "Paradox", shared on stage that he learned from this year's Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Chor Yuen to never give up on the effort of making a good movie.

"I tried my best to perform in this movie. Everything that comes off on screen is the result of the team's hard work," he said.

Louis bested other worthy contenders including Andy Lau ("Shock Wave"), and newcomer Ling Man Lung ("Tomorrow is Another Day").

He also took to Facebook to express his thoughts about his win, writing, "What an unforgettable evening. Thank you to all the fans and audiences who supported me."

Prior to winning HKFA's Best Actor, Louis was honoured with similar accolades at the 12th Asian Film Awards and the Hong Kong Film Director's Guild Award.
