Milla Jovovich returns to the video game movie genre with "Monster Hunter"

Milla Jovovich is leading another video game movie after her success in the "Resident Evil" franchise.

15 May – After starring in six "Resident Evil" movies, Milla Jovovich is set to join another video game property in a leading role.

The Ukrainian born actress will lead a "Monster Hunter" adaptation based on a video game franchise of the same name, reports Variety.

Jovovich's frequent collaborator who happens to be her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, will direct the USD 60 million-budget movie which will begin production this September at Cape Town, South Africa.

"The crews are great there and, at least for a European company, it's easy to get there: Same time zone, overnight flights. We are very much in a comfort zone of production," said Chairman of Constantin Film Martin Moszkowicz.

Expect to see monsters taken directly from the video game in the "Monster Hunter" movie adaptation.
