Emily Blunt reteams with husband for book-to-screen adaptation

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski first worked together in "A Quiet Place".

23 Mar – Hollywood power couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski has never worked together prior to their 2018 hit "A Quiet Place". No doubt that the husband and wife team is comfortable working together, though, as they are reuniting for another feature.

Deadline is reporting that Blunt is in talks to star in "Not Fade Away", which Krasinski is attached to produce, along with David O. Russell.

A director has yet to be named since even though both Krasinski and Russell have directing experiences, neither will be helming the movie.

Lindsey Ferrentino will be penning the screenplay based on Rebecca Alexander's 2015 memoir, "Not Fade Away: A Memoir of Senses Lost and Found".

Blunt will portray Alexander, the now-40-year-old psychotherapist living in New York City who was born with Usher syndrome type III. She was diagnosed with it in her late childhood but, against all odds, manages to beat the rare genetic mutation that causes sight and hearing losses over time.

"Not Fade Away" doesn't have a release date yet but there is another confirmed Blunt-Krasinski movie that fans can look forward to next year.

Both will be back for the sequel to "A Quiet Place", opening in North American cinemas on 15 May 2020, with Blunt reprising her starring role while Krasinski is writing and directing.

Aside from that, Blunt will also be seen in next year's "Jungle Cruise" and possible be back for a "Mary Poppins Returns" sequel, which currently remains undated.
