These two "Expendables" stars are reuniting for an action series

From the big screen to the small screen, Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren are gearing up for more action.

5 Aug – We previously saw them bringing the action on the big screen together in movies like 2018's "Creed 2" and 2014's "The Expendables 3", next we'll be seeing these two action stars working together again for an action-packed drama series.

Sylvester Stallone recently posted on Instagram that he will be working with his "old hard punching friend" Dolph Lundgren for a new show called "The International".

The 73-year-old made the post after Deadline broke the news of the two actors reuniting for the small screen project, with Lundgren playing the series' lead and Stallone executive producing under his Balboa Productions banner.

As Stallone posted, more info will be made available in the near future. For now, Lundgren is the only revealed cast. The 61-year-old will star as a "covert operative at the Department of Safety and Security at the UN". Expect lots of action from this guy as his character description reads, "the UN's secret special agent, a one-man S.W.A.T. team and hostage negotiator".

Stallone might be directing the pilot episode, with drama veteran Ken Sanzel ("Numbers") – who also wrote the series – serving as showrunner.

Lundgren and Stallone have a long history of working together, starting from 1985's "Rocky IV" and later reuniting in all three of "The Expendables" movies.
