Henry Golding launches own production company

Henry Golding's newly established production company is working on two action movies.

19 Jun – Not content with just being a crazy rich actor, Henry Golding has also now launched his own production company.

The British-Sarawakian actor's newly launched Long House Productions has signed a pact with "Crazy Rich Asians" co-investor, China's Starlight Cultural Entertainment Group, as well as Dream in Dream and Above the Clouds Films.

"I am excited to bring the unique stories that come from my experiences and the time I've spent living in Asia, London, America, and all over the world, to the movies that I work on and the material I look forward to developing," said Golding, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.

He is the first actor signed to Starlight's USD100 million development and production fund. His newly established company currently has two action movies in the works.

The first is an action-adventure movie "The Inheritance", written by Alistair Hudson based on his and Golding's original story idea.

The second movie, which will also star Golding, is an action-thriller titled "Harrington's Greatest Hits". David Leitch, the stuntman-turned-director behind "John Wick" and "Deadpool 2", will be producing alongside the 32-year-old.

The movie, revolving around an elite but aging assassin who has a contract put out on him by an ex-target's arms-dealing father, will have James Strong directing.

Aside from movies from his own production company, Golding will also be seen on the big screen next in Paul Feig's "Last Christmas" and Guy Ritchie's "The Gentlemen".
