27 Sep – Brie Larson really, really wants to star in a "Star Wars" movie, if her social media posts are anything to go by. Her recent one shows her casually wielding a lightsaber while leaning on C-3PO, captioned, "Did someone say "Star Wars"?!" She posted the photo after news broke, via The Hollywood Reporter, that Kevin Feige is developing a new "Star Wars" movie. The Marvel Studios president has reportedly met with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, and studio co-chairmen Alan Horn and Alan Bergman, to discuss his foray into the popular franchise. "With the close of the "Skywalker Saga", Kathy is pursuing a new era in "Star Wars" storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a "Star Wars" film together," said Walt Disney Studios co-chairman and chief creative officer Horn.
Larson's entry into the galaxy far, far away might be possible since the actress already is a part of Feige's other works, having starred in several Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies as Captain Marvel, including headlining the superhero's solo vehicle earlier this year. However, will she be Feige's pick is another matter. Reportedly, Feige already has someone in mind to play a specific role in the movie. Who? The answer can only be confirmed if and when he decides to make the movie. In the meantime, fans have the J. J. Abrams-helmed "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" to look forward to, opening in cinemas in December 2019. Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, and Domhnall Gleeson are among the cast who will return for the final movie of the "Skywalker Saga".
