19 Apr - It's been a while since Megan Fox graced the big screen, but that doesn't mean she'll be gone much longer. This year alone the actress has at least five movies lined up for release and she has just added another title to that list. The 32-year-old will be seen starring opposite her husband Brian Austin Green in a family movie, "Dakota", according to The Hollywood Reporter. Fox will be playing a widow whose husband died in the war in Afghanistan. As she struggles to maintain her small-town farm with her daughter while also running the local volunteer fire department, a soldier (Green) appears to fulfill his promise to bring home her late husband's best friend, a combat dog named Dakota. With Dakota, her daughter and the soldier by her side, the widow goes up against a local sheriff who is doing everything he can to make her sell her property, including burning it down. The family action-adventure thriller will be directed by Kirk Harris, whose directing credits include 2018's "Bernie the Dolphin" and its upcoming sequel.
Even though this is the first time that Fox and Green are starring together in a movie, they did previously work together in 2008 rom-com "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People", with Fox in the main cast and Green in an uncredited role. Last seen on the big screen in 2016's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows", Fox will be back on it soon in "Think Like a Dog", "Zeroville", "Battle of Jangsa-ri 9.15", "Naya: Legend of the Golden Dolphin", and "Shadow Girl".
