14 Apr – Yesterday we brought word that several local artistes are banding together to help Malaysians who are facing hardships during the government-enforced Movement Control Order (MCO). The "Together We Can", #TogetherForHumanity, entertainment charity campaign kicks off today, featuring the first four performers: DJ Cuurley, singer Helloluqman, and R&B singers Dasha Logan and Nadhira. Cuurly will kick it off at 4pm, while Nadhira will take over at 4.30pm, followed by Dasha Logan at 5pm and Helloluqman wrapping things up at 5.30pm. Hosted by AFO Radio DJ MAG and co-host Darren Teh, the daily live stream of performances and interviews takes place from today onwards until this Sunday, 19 April. The four different artistes that will be featured from 4pm to 6pm every day will each have 30 minutes to perform two songs live and do short interview and discussion. Other upcoming artistes that viewers can look forward to are singer-songwriter duo Wanted Symphony, electronic pop band Resort, "AF 2016" runner-up Reshma, beatboxer Koujee and electropop duo Monoriff.
Fans and members of the public will be able to donate to the #TogetherForHumanity fund through the entertainment charity campaign, Proceeds from the fund will be used by The Giving Bank to obtain essential items and groceries, which will be donated to the less fortunate, families and individuals from the B40 income group hard-hit by the MCO as well as musicians who suffered loss of income during this period.
