15 Sep – When it was first reported last July that Henry Golding will be lending his voice to the animated film "The Tiger's Apprentice", there was no mention yet who will co-star with the Hollywood leading man. Now The Hollywood Reporter has finally brought an update and looks like this will be another reunion for Golding with his "Crazy Rich Asians" onscreen mother, Michelle Yeoh. In fact, Yeoh isn't the only "Crazy Rich Asians" star Golding will be reuniting with. This movie also reunites him with Tan Kheng Hua, who plays his future mother-in-law in the romcom. The actresses are among the new additions to the cast, which also include Sandra Oh ("Killing Eve"), Brandon Soo Hoo ("From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series"), Bowen Yang ("Isn't It Romantic"), and Sherry Cola ("Good Trouble"). It has not been revealed what roles Yeoh, Tan and the rest of the cast will be voicing. So far only Oh's role is known – she will be voicing an exiled dragon, Mistral, who is friends with Golding's titular Tiger character. The movie is an adaptation of Lawrence Yep's 2003 book of the same name, which tells of a boy who meets Mr. Hu, a shape-shifting talking tiger, in San Francisco. Under Hu's tutelage and protection, the boy is introduced into a magical world filled that includes an ancient phoenix, a dragon and a clan of evil-doers. "The Tiger's Apprentice" marks the third movie together for Golding and Yeoh, who followed up their 2018 "Crazy Rich Asians" work with Paul Feig's "Last Christmas" a year later. Previously slotted for release on 11 February 2022, Paramount has rescheduled "The Tiger's Apprentice" to 10 February 2023.
