8 May – It was revealed last month that several Lionsgate movies will be streamed for free throughout April and May on YouTube. The special online programme, "Lionsgate Live! A Night at the Movies", is done in partnership with Fandango and can be viewed on both Fandago's as well as the studio's YouTube channels. Coming up this weekend is the 2014 action movie, "John Wick", starring Keanu Reeves. The best part, Reeves himself will be joining the livestream, as reported by ComingSoon.Net. It will feature a special introduction from the titular star, as well as from Halle Berry, who co-starred in "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum". Aside from Reeves and Berry, other cast members that will join the livestream include Lance Reddick, who plays Continental Hotel concierge Charon in all three "John Wick" instalments, and Asia Kate Dillon, who joined in the third movie as The Adjudicator
Co-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch are also joining the livestream, which will take place this 8 May, 6pm PT or 9pm ET. For Southeast Asia, that will be Saturday morning 8am or 9am (depending on where you are). Donations made by the audiences during the livestream will be chanelled to Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation. The organisation is providing financial assistance to cinema workers who are furloughed by the COVID-19 pandemic. So, this weekend "John Wick" fans can at least enjoy the first movie in the franchise. It'll be a long time before the new instalment, "John Wick 4", will be released as it was recently moved from its 21 May 2021 date to 27 May 2022.
