Tom Hiddleston's "Loki" series welcomes another well-known actor to its cast.

3 Feb – As "Loki" is only set to premiere in 2021, information is still scarce on the upcoming Disney+ series focusing on the titular god of mischief. The only latest update it has to offer to the public is that another actor has joined the cast.

Owen Wilson has reportedly been tapped for a major role in "Loki", as revealed by ComicBook.com, though it was not stated what role exactly the Oscar-nominated actor will be playing.

His casting in the series is set to be Wilson's first involvement with Marvel Studios and in a superhero universe. He has yet to join any; the closest he's come to was vying for the role of Cyclops in "X-Men" but that eventually went to James Marsden.

Owen Wilson (middle) was last seen starring on the big screen in 2017's "Father Figures".

Wilson's last starring role was in 2017's "Father Figures". He's been quiet on both the small screen and big screen since and only appeared in one show last year, the mockumentary TV series "Documentary Now!".

However, he will be returning to the big screen with the Wes Andersen-directed "The French Dispatch" this year and the still undated upcoming movies, "Marry Me" and "Bliss".

The first look at Tom Hiddleston in his role as Loki, as recently revealed at Super Bowl 2020.

Disney+ recently released a trailer of its upcoming series at Super Bowl 2020, including "Loki", "WandaVision" and "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier".

Despite "Loki" showing up only for a brief moment, it at least gives fans their first look at Tom Hiddleston reprising the role he's been playing in the MCU since 2011's "Thor".

He last returned as the character in the big screen in "Avengers: Endgame". It is believed that the series will pick up after the 2012 New York City scene that Loki was last seen in in the aforementioned movie, where he managed to get his hands on the Tesseract and escaped with it.

"Loki" will also be linked to "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", though it is unknown whether Hiddleston will appear in the Benedict Cumberbatch-led sequel.
