20 Nov – Popular social media celebrity Addison Rae's dream of making a Hollywood debut is finally coming true, as she has been tapped to star in the gender-swap reboot of 1999 rom-com, "She's All That". Through the new movie, titled "He's All That", Rae will play an influencer, mirroring her real-life status, taking over the starring role played by Freddie Prinze Jr. in the original movie.

Director Mark Waters, who also helmed "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls", thinks that Rae is the best pick to play the role thanks to her charisma. "I know she's green, but she's got the goods. There's a built-in charisma that she has that makes people really respond to her, and that's exactly what you want from a movie actor," he says, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter. Rae, who is the second biggest TikTok star in the world, underwent an audition several months ago, which included shooting a self-tape and later, at the home of producer Jennifer Gibgot, reading lines in person. In preparation for her role, Rae has also been working out for 2 hours a day, reading the script with her acting coach and meeting with the director. The reboot follows an influencer who challenges herself to give a nerdy boy a makeover and turn him into the school's prom king. Apart from Rae, "He's All That" also stars Madison Pettis, Isabella Crovetti, Myra Molloy, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton Meyer and Annie Jacob.
