16 Mar – Carina Lau recently assured that everything is fine with husband Tony Leung, whose Marvel film has halted shooting in Australia.

As reported on Mingpao, on 14 March, it was revealed that the upcoming Marvel movie, "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings", has been suspended for the time being as the director and others got tested for COVID-19.

This decision came following many other studios announcing suspension of production and theatrical release, made worse by news that Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson were tested positive of the coronavirus while in Australia.

When asked about Tony's condition, wife and manager Carina Lau stated that the actor - who has been cast as The Mandarin in the said superhero film - is doing well.

"Thank you for your concern. The coronavirus is spreading across the globe. I hope that everybody will take good care of themselves. The crew has already strengthened their pandemic prevention measures," she said.

According to THR, the shutdown of "Shang-Chi" production could cost Marvel and Disney approximately USD300,000 a day. Disney is already taking a massive hit, after announcing that it will be delaying the theatrical releases of "Mulan" and "The New Mutants".
